BOOKING Policies
Please be aware that arriving to an appt with any flu symptom's, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, repeated coughing &/or sneezing, is cause for canceling the appts. and the cancellation fee will apply. Appts will be cancelled if any symptoms of sickness are observed at the time of arrival or during an appt.
COVID is a highly contagious virus that spreads from person to person. Sanitation measures are adhered to & preventative measures have been put in place to further reduce the spread of the coronavirus. However, these best practices still offer no guarantee regarding your potential risk of being infected. In the event you observe your appt provider with symptoms of sickness please let us know immediately.
It’s required when arriving for appts, staff & client (you) have not had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above. Staff & client (you) do not, nor have recently had, any coughing, respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath. Staff & client (you) have not been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID or has coronavirus-type symptoms.
By booking an appt you Consent for Treatment at A Thing-of-Beauty and understand that, because the appointment involves touch and/or close physical proximity over an extended period of time, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID. You understand that it is impossible to safeguard anyone from asymptomatic individuals. By booking an appt, you acknowledge and are aware of the risks involved from receiving treatment at this time, you voluntarily agree to assume those risks, and release and hold harmless the service provider/business from any claims related thereto. You give your consent to receive treatment from/work with our staff of service providers.
Please be sure to thoroughly clean eyelashes & eyelids directly prior to arriving to your appointment...
The most successful service time together needs to be focused on applying a gorgeous new set of lash extensions. Not a deep cleaning to remove makeup, mascara, skin oils, dirt &/or debris before they're applied.
Optimal lash retention time is a goal!!! The adhesive will not adhere properly or last on semi-clean eyelashes. You don't need a touch-up sooner than later, so get your money's worth the first time & make sure you arrive for your scheduled service with lashes their absolute cleanest! An additional fee will apply to anyone who arrives for an appointment with uncleaned eyelashes/eyelids.
An assessment will be made at the time of service.
Again...Lashes need to be at their cleanest when arriving for any & all lash service appointments!

Cancellation & rescheduling policy
For cancellations & to avoid being charged, please be in contact 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Please leave a voicemail & include your name with the appointment time you'd like to have canceled at (206) 853-1272.
A "No-show" on a scheduled appointment will be considered a cancellation with less than a 48hr notice and the deposit will no longer be eligible for refund. For appointments scheduled the same day , the cancellation policy does not apply & deposits will not be refunded.
Late arrivals over 10mins past a scheduled appt time will be considered a “No Show” & the cancellation fee would then apply. As a courtesy, a 10min grace period is extended past the scheduled appt time. Any arrival after the grace period will not be accommodated. This is to ensure the safety & quality of services, as well as, consideration of everyone’s valuable time.
As a courtesy, appointment reminders are sent out 48 hours by email. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of your appointment, you will be charged the amount of your deposit for the cancellation. If you reschedule or no show your appointment within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged the amount of your deposit for the cancellation. A credit card deposit for all clients or appointments is required at the time of booking and will go toward the balance at the end of service, unless the aforementioned cancellation/no show has occurred. This is to protect your time that is set-aside especially for you, as well as to protect our time which books at random by clients via online booking. In turn, we promise to keep appointments on time, give you our full and undivided attention and of course, the best lash work!
The **2.9% + 30 cent credit card processing fee** on deposits made to reserve an appointment online, cannot/will not be refunded for any reason whether or not the appointment has been made in error, canceled or rescheduled within the appropriate timeframe required.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule/cancel a booked appointment without the cancellation fee penalty. Please call or email the change date request & allow up to 48hrs for a reply. If an urgent appt. date change is needed, placing another deposit on the day of your choice is an option. Please note when urgent self-rescheduling occurs the deposit of the old existing appt. will only be moved to another future appt. Date or refunded less the credit card processing fee. When/if you reschedule yourself, the **2.9% + 30 cent credit card processing fee** on an old deposit will not be refunded for any reason whether or not the appointment has been made in error, canceled or rescheduled within the appropriate timeframe required.
